IDS first announced its plans in 2008, but they were postponed by the credit crunch. Verizon Hints At Scrapping Unlimited Data Plans

BusinessWeek reports that Verizon may be preparing to follow AT&T’s example by eliminating unlimited data plans later this year. Quoting:

The data protection authority has been investigating Google’s recording of traffic carried over unencrypted Wi-Fi networks. Vodafone has a huge selection of USB sticks but has proven to be unresponsive to questions about data plans.
